We strive to provide our clients with service that reflects the principles of respect, equality, cooperation, and excellence. Our commitment is to provide all clients with equal opportunity to access and benefit from our products and services.


Accessible Customer Service

Communication

Savaria will communicate with clients with a disability in a way that takes the disability into account – in both written and interpersonal communication.  We will strive to maintain an accessible public website so that way may communicate effectively with our clients online.  


Assistive Devices

Savaria welcomes and permits the use of assistive devices and encourages users to seek support from our employees as needed. Our premises are currently equipped with wheelchairs, lifts and accessible washrooms, which are available for public use.  

 

Service Animals

Savaria is committed to serving people with disabilities and permits service animals to accompany our clients in areas open to the general public. Clients should ensure that they have the proper documentation that identifies their animal as a certified service animal.

 

Support Persons

Savaria welcomes people with disabilities who are accompanied by a support person. At no time will an individual be prevented from having access to his or her support person while on our premises.


Service Disruptions

Savaria will provide notice in the event of a planned or unexpected disruption in facilities or services commonly used by persons with disabilities. Notifications will be made public by posting information in a visible area on our premises, word of mouth, email, or via the company website.


Employee Training  

Learning about accessibility is required for all staff members, contractors, volunteers and others who interact with members of the public, as well as every person involved in the development of policies, practices, and procedures. Savaria will also work to ensure that all third party staff (i.e. dealers) receives training on serving our clients with disabilities.
