Guide to Home Elevators

This one-hour webinar will be presented by Bill Kempf, Regional Sales Manager at Savaria.

Bill Kempf

Bill has been involved in the residential elevator industry for the past 12 years and has recently joined Savaria as Regional Sales Manager for the southeast US and California. He is responsible for dealer development and providing marketing and sales support. In the past, Bill created and presented multiple courses and training programs for design professionals including a course which offered Learning Units to architects, approved by the America Institute of Architects (AIA). Bill is an active member of the National Association of Elevator Contractors, having worked at ThyssenKrupp Access and most recently as Regional Sales Manager for Otis at Home.

This presentation is designed to provide an overview of home elevators for architects and builders. The learning objectives for the course are as follows:

  • Relate to the variety of applications for home elevators
  • Identify common features and the four main types of elevator drive systems
  • Analyze site requirements and project timelines
  • Understand codes and regulations applicable to residential elevators

By the end of this session, participants should have a broad understanding of residential elevators and the increasing demand for mobility in the home. This webinar is an intermediate level AIA CES course.

AIA Continuing Education

"Guide to Home Elevators" is an AIA registered course and provides attendees with 1 HSW Learning Unit towards their CES learning credits.
