Orion Cab Styles

The Orion elevator offers two cab styles

Savaria offers two main cab styles – the traditional cab and the Orion 17 cab design. There is a variety of different cab factory finishes including fire-rated overlay panels. In addition to what is listed below, custom options are also available to suit your needs. The Orion features two-speed sliding cab gates and landing doors that are available in different colors and finishes.

The Traditional Orion Cab Starts with Steel

Timeless

The traditional-style Orion cab features a base cabin of black or architectural white painted steel. You can add fire-rated plastic laminate or melamine overlay panels in a choice of colors. As an upgrade, you can choose a base cabin in stainless steel #4 finish or blackened stainless steel and add overlay panels if you wish. The traditional cab includes a white steel ceiling with four silver-trimmed pot light fixtures, along with stainless steel handrail and cab operating panel (COP) and hall calls with digital floor indicators. Choose your paint color for the sliding cab gates and doors.

Choose the all-stainless Orion for a modern look

Stainless steel not only looks good, but it’s durable and practical as well. The all-stainless Orion cab includes stainless steel cab walls and ceiling, cab gates, handrail, cab operating panel and hall calls. This is a popular choice for its upscale look and feel.

The glass Orion elevator is special

Adding glass to the Orion cab is possible in some cases and makes for a beautiful upscale look. This is usually paired with a glass hoistway (by others) and may be allowed if your local authority (AHJ) provides approval.
