Savaria PS4D Photo-Measuring Tool

Tailored to your home

Preview your stairlift before you buy it

To ensure perfect-fit rails for Savaria and Handicare curved stairlift models, our dealers use our proprietary PS4D photo-measuring tool. When your local dealer visits your home, they can show you how our stairlift will fit on your staircase. In about 20 minutes, a survey can be done of your stairs and the dealer can show you the particular model that suits your needs, along with options that will work best for you. All this can take place before you place an order.

Our photo-measuring tool provides precise measurements to our engineering and fabrication team – removing manual measurements and guesswork. With years of field use, our proven system yields outstanding results for stairlift rails that are close-fitting to the wall or railings, even with complex or tight turns.

The PS4D system helps us achieve industry-leading production times in our North American factories – from order placement to the dealer’s door in only a couple of weeks for most configurations.

The Savaria Difference

Custom manufacturing

Other manufactures offer curved stairlifts that are modular systems – meaning that pre-fabricated pieces are assembled together on site for your stairs. Our observations of these systems is that they often do not fit the staircase well because the majority of staircases with turns are built differently home-to-home. With our fast production times, you get a custom fit and you get it fast.

We use the PS4D for the Stairfriend 23, Handicare 4000 and Handicare Freecurve stairlifts. The PS4D system can also be used on some of our other lifts such as the Savaria Pegasus curved inclined platform lift.
