Marcel Bourassa, President and CEO
With his vision of an aging population in need of accessibility equipment in the future, Mr Marcel Bourassa purchased Savaria in 1989, taking the company public in 2002. In 2014, he formed the Bourassa Savaria Foundation a registered Canadian charity that provides funding to people with mobility challenges. He holds a BBA from HEC Montreal.
Jean-Marie Bourassa, CFO
Mr Jean-Marie Bourassa has served as CFO since 2002. He is also CEO of the accounting firm Bourassa Boyer Inc., and Chairman of the Board for 5NPlus. Mr Bourassa is a Chartered Professional Accountant and attained his corporate governance certificate from Laval University.
Sebastien Bourassa, Operations VP & President Savaria Huizhou (China)
Mr Sebastien Bourassa was instrumental in setting up operations for Savaria in China in 2007 and serves as the company’s operations vice president and president of the company’s China operations. He has a BBA from HEC Montreal and an EMBA from Ivey Business School in Hong Kong.
Hélène Bernier, Finance Vice President
Ms Bernier has served as the company’s Vice President of finance since 2004. She is a Professional Chartered Accountant with over 25 years experience. She has a BBA from HEC Montreal.
William Richardson, Research & Development Vice President
Mr Richardson heads up the company’s R & D initiatives splitting his time between the Canadian operation and an innovation centre in Savaria Huizhou China. He is a longstanding and active member of various industry code committees.
Alison Harper, Business Development Vice President
Ms Harper oversees corporate marketing and the Silver Cross division and brings over 25 years experience in sales and marketing. She has a BComm from McMaster University.
Robert Berthiaume, Engineering Vice President, P.Eng
Mr Berthiaume has been with Savaria since 1991 and currently holds the position of corporate Engineering Vice President. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from École Polytechnique in Montreal.
Pierre Côté, Engineering Vice President, P.Eng
Mr Côté began his career at Savaria in 1992 and currently heads up engineering for the accessible vehicle division. He has a mechanical engineering degree from École Polytechnique in Montreal and is Vice President of NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association) Canada.
Alexandre Bertrand, Engineering Director, P.Eng
Mr Bertrand leads the company’s elevator and lift division engineering department. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Laval University and an MBA with Schulich School of Business.
